Sioux Falls Man Pleads Guilty to Theft by Deception Charge


PIERRE, S.D  -   Attorney General Marty Jackley announces today that Michael Harry Monmaney, 27, Sioux Falls, has pled guilty to one count of theft by deception- grand theft, class 4 felony, punishable by up to 10 year imprisonment at the state penitentiary and/or $20,000 fine and one count of failure to inform buyer of right to cancel, class 2 misdemeanor.

Charges stem from complaints filed with the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division for home improvement work that was not completed in Minnehaha County in the late spring and summer of 2012.  Sentencing is scheduled for November 12 at 3:00 pm.
