Pennington County Jury Convicts Rapid City Man of Distribution and
Possession of Controlled Substance


PIERRE, S.D  -  Attorney General Marty Jackley announces that a Pennington County jury returned a verdict finding James Louis Means, 26, Rapid City, guilty of one count of distribution of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, class 4 felony, maximum penalty 10 years in the state penitentiary and/or $20,000 fine and one count of possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine. Sentencing is scheduled for November 5, 2013.

This case was investigated by the Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team and was prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
