4th Annual Blue Light Memorial Event to Recognize Fallen Law Enforcement Officers

PIERRE, S.D. - The 4th annual Project Blue Light Memorial Event is scheduled to take place this evening beginning at 6:30pm at the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls. Attorney General Marty Jackley will be the keynote speaker for this year's event.

Project Blue Light is an important memorial event that recognizes the fallen law enforcement officers from South Dakota.  This memorial, which was introduced 4 years ago by Harrisburg Mayor Julie Burke-Bowen, ensures that the memories of those fallen law enforcement officers are not forgotten or neglected during the busy holiday season. 

"This event is open to the public and all are encourage to attend," said Jackley. "Every day law enforcement officers provide immeasurable service to our communities statewide and this event is just one way we can recognize the sacrifices they make each and every day to make our lives safer."
