Brown County Jury Renders Guilty Verdict on Threatening a Judicial Officer

 
PIERRE, S.D – Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that a Brown County jury returned a verdict finding Eugene H. Paulson, 77, Rosholt, guilty of threatening or intimidating a judicial officer, class 5 felony, maximum sentence of 5 years and/or $10,000 fine, offering a false or forged instrument for filing, registering, or recording, class 6 felony, maximum sentence of 2 years and/or $4,000 fine and uttering simulated process, class 1 misdemeanor.

Charges stem from threats made and documents that Paulson attempted to file during the course of a civil proceeding.

This case was investigated by the Roberts County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Division of Criminal Investigation and was prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
