Perkins County Man Arrested on 1st Degree Manslaughter Charge

Perkins County Man Arrested on 1st Degree Manslaughter Charge


PIERRE –    Attorney General Marty Jackley, Perkins County States Attorney Shane Penfield and Perkins County Sheriff  Kelly Serr announced today that Brady James Hooker, 22, Lemmon, was arrested on April 18, 2015 on one count of 1st degree manslaughter, class C felony, up to life imprisonment in the state penitentiary and/or $50,000 fine.

Charges stem from an incident in the Hooker residence, which resulted in Hooker shooting Leon Paulson, 32, Lemmon.

Hooker is presumed innocent until such time as proven guilty.

This case is being investigated by the Perkins County Sheriff’s Office and the Division of Criminal Investigation.
