Aberdeen Man Arrested in Connection to Sunday’s Officer Involved Shooting Incident

 

PIERRE, S.D. -  Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that Ehkhu Hser Poe, 21, Aberdeen, has been arrested on 1 count of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, class 2 felony punishable by up to 25 years imprisonment and/or $50,000 fine, 3 counts of aggravated assault on non-law enforcement persons, class 3 felony, maximum penalty of 15 years imprisonment and/or a $30,000 fine for each count and one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, class 5 felony, punishable by up to 5 years in the state penitentiary and/or $10,000 fine.

 

Poe is presumed innocent until such time as proven guilty.

 

The Aberdeen Police Department Officer who was involved with yesterday’s incident was treated and released from the hospital yesterday afternoon. His injuries were serious, but not life threatening.
