Brookings County Individuals Indicted on Sex Abuse and Child Porn Charges

PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley and Brookings County States Attorney Clyde Calhoon announced today that four individuals have been indicted by a Brookings County Grand Jury on numerous sexual abuse and child pornography charges.

Robert H. Hanshaw, Jr., 30, Brookings

·         8 counts of first degree rape, class C felony, punishable by up to life imprisonment in the state penitentiary and/or $50,000 fine

·         11 counts of possessing, manufacturing or distributing child pornography, class 4 felony, punishable by up to 10 years in the state penitentiary and/or $20,000 fine

·         1 count of sexual contact with a child under sixteen, class 3 felony, punishable by up to 15 years in the state penitentiary and/or $30,000

 

Alicia Hodge, 31, Brookings

·         1 count of abuse or cruelty to a minor as felony, class 3 felony, punishable by up to 15 years in the state penitentiary and/or $30,000

·         1 count of abuse or cruelty to a minor as felony, class 4 felony, punishable by up to 10 years in the state penitentiary and/or $20,000

 

Daniel J. Kramer, 31, Brookings

·         1 count of abuse or cruelty to a minor as felony, class 3 felony, punishable by up to 15 years in the state penitentiary and/or $30,000

·         1 count of abuse or cruelty to a minor as felony, class 4 felony, punishable by up to 10 years in the state penitentiary and/or $20,000

 

William L. McGillivray, Jr., 30, Brookings

·         2 count of first degree rape,  class C felony, punishable by up to life imprisonment in the state penitentiary and/or $50,000 fine

·         1 count of possessing, manufacturing or distributing child pornography, class 4 felony, punishable by up to 10 years in the state penitentiary and/or $20,000 fine

 

Agencies assisting in this investigation include the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office, Brookings Police Department, Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office and the Division of Criminal Investigation. This case is being prosecuted by the Brookings County States Attorney’s Office.
