PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Jackley issued this statement on President Trump’s nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court of the United States.

“President Trump has made a solid selection in nominating Judge Neil Gorsuch for the United States Supreme Court. He was appointed to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals without opposition and received unanimous, bipartisan support.  He is universally respected for his integrity, fairness and decency and understands the role of a judge is to interpret the Constitution as written by the Framers and not legislate from the bench,” said Jackley.
