PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley confirms today that law enforcement have concluded their investigation into the death of Wesley Keith Spider, 43, Sisseton.

An autopsy was conducted and confirmed that the cause of death was ruled accidental, posttraumatic apnea due to a combination of concussion from head injury and acute ethanol intoxication. 

On October 3, 2017, Sisseton Wahpeton Police Department responded to a report of an unresponsive individual in the city of Sisseton.

Agencies who assisted in this investigation were the Sisseton Police Department, Roberts County Sheriff’s Office, Sisseton Wahpeton Police Department and the Division of Criminal Investigation.
