Attorney General Long Appoints New Member to the Board of Pardons and Paroles 

PIERRE, S.D.-    Attorney General Larry Long today announced the appointment of Keith Bonenberger of  Kadoka, S.D. to the Board of Pardons and Paroles. Bonenberger will fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Jim Sheridan.

His term will expire in January of 2013.

Bonenberger began work in the court services field for the South Dakota Unified Judicial System in July 1977. He served as Chief Court Services Officer for the 6th Judicial Circuit for 5 years and as State Director of Court Services for 2 ½ years prior to his retirement in May 2006. Since 2006, he has been employed as the Director of Field Operations for Mountain Plains Evaluation.

“Keith’s experience in the court services system will be a valuable asset to the Board,” said Long. “We are pleased that he has accepted this appointment and believe that we have found a very qualified individual to serve on this public board.”

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the South Dakota Senate.
