Hoven Physician Arrested on Possession of Child Pornography Charges

 

PIERRE, S.D. -  Attorney General Marty Jackley confirms that Dr. John Coddington, 74, a physician in Hoven, SD, was arrested in North Dakota today.  Coddington is charged in Potter County, South Dakota, with five counts of possession of child pornography. Possession of child pornography is a Class 4 Felony that carries a maximum penalty of 10 years incarceration and/or a $20,000 fine. Bond has been set at $20,000 cash only with the condition that  Dr. Coddington have no contact with anyone under age of 18. The case is being prosecuted by the South Dakota Attorney General's Office. Dr. Coddington is innocent until proven guilty.
