Potter County Grand Jury Indicts Dr. John Coddington

 

PIERRE, S.D.-   Attorney General Marty Jackley confirms that a Potter County Grand Jury indicted Dr. John Coddington, 74, a physician in Hoven, SD, with five counts of possession of child pornography. Possession of child pornography is a Class 4 Felony that carries a maximum penalty of 10 years incarceration and/or a $20,000 fine. The indictment alleges that he did knowingly possess, distribute, or otherwise disseminate a visual depiction of a minor engaging in a prohibited sexual act, or in the simulation of such an act. Bond has been set at $20,000 cash only. The is case is being prosecuted by the South Dakota Attorney General’s Office and investigated by the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation. Dr. Coddington is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
