PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley, Pennington County States Attorney Glenn Brenner, Pennington County Sheriff Kevin Thom and Rapid City Police Chief Steve Allender announced today that several individuals from Rapid City have been arrested for their roles in the possession and distribution of prescription drugs. The Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team (UNET) has made the following arrests:
Hanna Amiotte, 70, Rapid City, one felony count of distribution of a controlled substance- Opana/Oxymophone, one felony count of distribution of a controlled substance in a drug free zone
Rachelle Dawn Crites, 30, Rapid City, two felony counts of distribution of a controlled substance- Oxymorphone, two felony counts distribution of a controlled substance in a drug free zone
Melissa Marie Dale, 27, Rapid City, two felony counts of distribution of controlled substance- Oxymorphone, two counts of felony distribution in a drug free zone
Joseph High Hawk, 67, one misdemeanor count of ingesting
Randal Brent Langford, 51, Rapid City, one felony count of distribution of a controlled substance-Oxycodone, one felony count of distribution of a controlled substance in a drug free zone
Lieren Larive, 23, Rapid City, one felony count of attempted possession of a controlled substance
Michael Jonathan LeBeau, 26, Rapid City, one misdemeanor count of misprision of a felony
Bradley Lynch, 48, Rapid City, one felony count of attempted possession of a controlled substance
Rachel McCarty, 24, Rapid City, one felony count of distribution of a controlled substance-Methamphetamine
Tamara Jon Mesteth, 24, Rapid City, two felony counts of distribution of a controlled substance- Hydrocodone, two felony counts of distribution of controlled substance in a drug free zone
Jason Murphy, 33, Rapid City, one felony count of attempted possession of a controlled substance
Danelle Arlene Newman, 31, Rapid City, two felony counts of distribution of a controlled substance Opana/Oxymorphone
Tyson Petrick, 23, Rapid City, one felony count of attempted possession of a controlled substance
Kimberly L. Rich, 46, Rapid City, one felony count of distribution of a controlled substance- Methamphetamine.
Misty Rose Rodriquez, 37, Rapid City, one felony count of distribution of a controlled substance- Opana /Oxymorphone
“Prescription drug abuse has dramatically increased nationwide and today’s events demonstrate South Dakota is not immune from this epidemic,” said Jackley. “The prescription drug monitoring program authorized by South Dakota lawmakers, to be implemented in the near future, is designed to partially address this ongoing concern affecting too many South Dakotans.”
The investigation was a joint effort of the Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team (UNET), which is comprised of the Division of Criminal Investigation, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office and Rapid City Police Department. The investigation will continue and additional charges are possible.
All defendants are presumed innocent until such time as proven guilty. These cases are currently being prosecuted by the South Dakota Attorney General’s Office.
