Watertown Man Arrested in Murder Case

 Watertown Man Arrested in Murder Case

 

PIERRE, S.D.  –Attorney General Marty Jackley and Lake County States Attorney Ken Meyer said today that Carl V. Ericsson, 73, Watertown, has been arrested tonight on one count of first degree murder for the death of Norman Johnson. This offense is a class A felony, punishable by death or life imprisonment in the state penitentiary and/or a $50,000 fine.  Ericsson is presumed innocent until such time as proven guilty. Law enforcement believes this was an isolated incident.
This case is being investigated by the Madison Police Department and the Division of Criminal Investigation.
