Pine Ridge Woman Indicted on Methamphetamine Charges

Pine Ridge Woman Indicted on Methamphetamine Charges

PIERRE S.D. - Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that Victoria Lee Running Hawk, 30, Pine Ridge, was indicted today by a Pennington County grand jury. Running Hawk was indicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine and a one year mandatory minimum sentence.

Charges stem from a South Dakota Highway Patrol traffic stop on Interstate 90 in Pennington County, which resulted in the discovery of 40 pounds of methamphetamine. Running Hawk is presumed innocent until such time as proven guilty.
