State Authorities/Boards/Commissions

Annual Disclosure Form

Effective July 1, 2017, members of certain state authorities, boards and commissions are required to make an annual disclosure of contracts in which they have or may have an interest or from which they derive a direct benefit. A list of the authorities, boards and commissions that are subject to the annual reporting requirement can be found on the Legislative Research Council (LRC) website at: SDCL 3-23-10.  Members of authorities, boards and commissions that are not included in the list are not subject to the annual disclosure requirement.

Members of the listed authorities, boards and commissions  must make the annual disclosure using a form developed by the Office of Attorney General.   The form is available below in PDF format, which can be printed and then completed/signed, or in a Word fillable format, which can be completed and then printed for signature.    For more information as to who is subject to the disclosure requirements and the information that must be disclosed see SDCL Chapter 3-23,  which can be found on the LRC website at:  SDCL Chapter 3-23.

Minutes

Effective July 1, 2017, the above-described  annual disclosures and, when necessary, authorizations by the related state authority, board, or commission, must be included in the minutes of the authority, board or commission which must be filed with the auditor-general and the attorney general.     Minutes may be filed with the attorney general by email attachment in PDF format to:      ATGMinutes@state.sd.us.  Minutes may be filed with the auditor-general by email attachment in PDF format to:  DLAMinutes@state.sd.us

Minutes can also be filed with the attorney general by mailing a copy to:
