The SD Division of Consumer Protection consists of an Assistant Attorney General, a director, five investigators, and a complaint intake specialist, all of whom work under the direction of the Attorney General.
In 2013 the Division of Consumer Protection recovered $9,446,810 for consumers. The Division fielded 30,677 consumer inquires including phone calls, emails and correspondences.
