PIERRE, S.D.-  A law enforcement appreciation lunch will be held at the Mickelson Criminal Justice Center in Pierre on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. Guadalajara Restaurant will provide lunch starting at 11:30 a.m. for all certified law enforcement officers from the Pierre and Fort Pierre area. Guadalajara Restaurant owners Sidney and Elizabeth Zanin are responding to a local business challenge in support of law enforcement efforts. The Korner Grocery, located in Pierre, last week challenged businesses statewide to show their support to local law enforcement and the work they do for our communities.

“Local businesses across South Dakota are stepping forward during a time of uncertainty in our nation and showing their support for their law enforcement community,” said Jackley. “Each day officers are faced with very difficult and dangerous decisions, and the outpouring of community support helps as they work to make our communities safer.”
