Martin Woman Enters Guilty Plea in Baby Death

PIERRE, S.D.  - Attorney General Marty Jackley and Bennett County States Attorney Gay Tollifson announced today that Tera E. Gilger, 23, Martin, entered a plea of guilty today to one count of second degree manslaughter and one count of desertion of a child. Each offense is a class 4 felony, punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or a $20,000 fine. Sentencing is scheduled for February 2, 2012 in Martin.
