Massachusetts Man Pleads to Possession of Marijuana with Intent Distribute Charge

 

PIERRE, S.D. - Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that Donald McCormick, 40, Ipswich, MA, entered a plea of guilty today to one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. This offense is a Class 3 felony, punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment and/or a $30,000 fine. Charges stemmed from a traffic stop on Interstate 90 in Pennington County on January, 26, 2012, which resulted in the discovery of 947 pounds of marijuana.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Pennington County.
