Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division Indicts Sioux Falls Man
on Grand Theft Charges
PIERRE, S.D - Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that Michael Harry Monmaney, 27, Sioux Falls, was indicted by a Minnehaha County grand jury. Monmaney was indicted on two count of grand theft, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine, six counts of failure to inform buyer of right to cancel, class 2 misdemeanor, 3 counts of petty theft in the first degree, class 2 misdemeanor and 1 count of petty theft in the second degree, class 2 misdemeanor.
Charges stem from complaints filed with the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division for home improvement work that was not completed. Monmaney is presumed innocent until such time as proven guilty.
