(Pierre) – Convicted murderer Samuel Wayne Boston was sentenced to life in prison without parole today. A Custer County jury found Boston guilty on May 3, of second degree felony murder while engaged in the commission of a felony sexual contact.

“This conviction carried a mandatory sentence of life in prison,” said Attorney General Mark Barnett.

Boston was arrested in August of 2001 for the strangulation death of Richard Gitter.
