Senior Living Fair
(Pierre) – South Dakotans will have the chance to learn how not to get scammed at this year’s KOKK/Z105 Senior Living Fair.
Chief Deputy Attorney General Larry Long will give a presentation at 11:30am this Wednesday on current scams and consumer issues.
“Every spring brings a new rash of door to door scams. The best way for people to protect themselves is to stay informed and know their rights,” said Long.
The Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General’s Office will also have a booth at the fair. Consumer investigators will be on hand to answer questions and offer information on consumer issues. They will also be handing out senior citizen handbooks and other consumer publications.
The fair will be held in the Huron Mall from 10am to 4pm on Wednesday, May 15. Free entertainment and refreshments will be provided. Free blood pressure and glaucoma screening will also be available.
