Oregon Man Sentenced in Solicitation of a Minor Case

PIERRE, S.D  -   Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that Vincent Paul Vulpi, 49, Milwaukie, Oregon was sentenced to 10 years with 5 suspended for solicitation of a minor. In addition to the court sentence, Vulpi was given a $1,000 fine, sex offender counseling, required to register as a sex offender, obey all laws, no pornography, no prostitutes and no over the road trucking employment.

Charges stem from a sting operation in Rapid City where the suspect agreed to meet with a 14 year-old girl who was an undercover officer in April 2013.

Agencies that assisted in this operation were the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Rapid City Police Department, FBI and the Division of Criminal Investigation. The efforts of this operation were coordinated with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The case was prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
