Gregory Man Sentenced to 45 Years in Rape Case

PIERRE, S.D  - Attorney General Marty Jackley and Gregory County States Attorney Amy Bartling announced today that Dennis Ray Hunt, 51, Gregory, was sentenced to 45 years for first degree rape, class C felony, punishable by up to life imprisonment.

Charges stem from incidents that occurred in 2007 until 2012 in Gregory County.

This case was prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office and the Gregory County States Attorney and investigated by the Gregory County Sheriff’s Office.
