Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit and Sioux Falls Area Human Trafficking Task Force Make Arrests

 
PIERRE, S.D - Attorney General Marty Jackley, United States Attorney Brenden Johnson, Sioux Falls Police Chief Doug Barthel, Minnehaha County Sheriff Mike Milstead and Minnehaha County States Attorney Aaron McGowan announces that the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) and the Sioux Falls Area Human Trafficking Task Force conducted an undercover operation in the Sioux Falls area March 20-22. The investigation resulted in the following arrests:
Elijah Wilson, 24, Sioux Falls, one count of solicitation of a minor, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine.

James Anthony Murphy, 22, Sioux Falls, one count of solicitation of a minor, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine.

Wilson and Murphy are presumed innocent until such time as proven guilty.
The Attorney General’s Office would like to extend its appreciation to the Sioux Falls Police Department, Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations and the FBI for their efforts and continued cooperation.
