Delmont Community Watch Group Receives National Award
 

PIERRE, S.D –   Attorney General Marty Jackley would like to recognize the City of Delmont’s Community Watch Group for their recent National Night Out award from the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).

 “A strong community is the foundation for crime prevention and the City of Delmont has done just that with their well-organized Community Watch Group,” said Jackley. “Delmont has partnered law enforcement and its business community with its citizens to become a safer place to live.”

 The NATW is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of various crime prevention programs across that nation including neighborhood watch groups, law enforcement agencies, state and regional crime prevention associations, businesses, civic groups, and individuals, devoted to safer communities.  The National Night Out involved over 37.8 million participants in 16,124 communities. Delmont was one of 20 communities recognized for its Neighborhood Communities Program.
