Rapid City Officer Involved Shooting Summary Released

 
PIERRE, S.D – Attorney General Marty Jackley and the Division of Criminal Investigation today released the summary into the shooting of Allen D. Locke on December 20, 2014, in Rapid City, South Dakota.

The Division of Criminal Investigation conducted the investigation at the request of the Rapid City Police Department.

The incident occurred on December 20, 2014, following a call to service to a Rapid City residence.

“It is the conclusion of this report and the Attorney General that Officer Anthony Meirose was justified in firing his weapon and using lethal force. I would like to thank the Rapid City Police Department and the Officers for their service and complete cooperation in this investigation, and offer my condolences to the family of Allen D. Locke for their loss,” stated Attorney General Jackley.
