Six Reappointed to Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Training Commission
PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that 6 members of the Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Training Commission have been reappointed to their positions. They are as follows:

“The Law Enforcement Standards and Training Commission has the important responsibility of overseeing the training and certification of South Dakota law enforcement officers. I want to personally thank each member for their dedication to protecting our communities,” said Jackley.
The Commission consist of eleven members, eight appointed by the Attorney General as follows: one member from the South Dakota Highway Patrol, one member who is an acting sheriff; one member of a municipal police department; one member who is an enrolled tribal member and certified law enforcement officer; one member of the State Bar of South Dakota; one member recommended by the executive director of the Board of Regents; one member recommended by the South Dakota Municipal League; and one member recommended by the South Dakota County Commissioners Association.
