Minnehaha and Pennington County Prosecutors Honored
by State’s Attorneys Association

PIERRE, S.D. - The South Dakota State’s Attorneys Association honors Minnehaha County Deputy States Attorney Chrystal Johnson (now 2nd Circuit Magistrate Judge) and Pennington County Deputy States Attorney Scott Roetzel as co-prosecutors of the year.
The Prosecutor of the Year award, established in 2002, is given annually to an outstanding South Dakota prosecutor. Association President Minnehaha County States Attorney Aaron McGowan and Attorney General Marty Jackley presented the recipients with their awards at the Annual Meeting of the Association held in Deadwood on May 7-8, 2015.
“These two individuals have over 33 years of prosecutorial work between them.  We are fortunate to have such dedicated public servants that work tirelessly for justice in the communities they serve,” said Jackley.
Minnehaha County States Attorney Aaron McGowan was reelected President of the South Dakota State’s Attorneys Association and Union County States Attorney Jerry Miller was reelected as Vice-President.
