Government Openness Task Force to Hold Second Meeting

(Pierre) – Attorney General-Elect Larry Long announced today that the second meeting of the Government Openness Task Force will be held in Pierre on Tuesday, January 14 at 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon, in the Visitor Center near the State Capitol. The meeting is open to the public.

The Government Openness Task Force is made up of individuals from across the state representing media, law enforcement, local government, education, state government, private business and the public.

Long said the task force members will continue their review of the current statutes that have been identified, receive input from the public, and will also begin to study Open Meeting/Record laws from other states.
