Gregory County Man Pleads Guilty to 2nd Degree Manslaughter Charge
PIERRE, S.D - Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that Herris Gene Lambley, 77, Herrick, pled guilty to one count of second degree manslaughter, class 4 felony, punishable by up to 10 years in the state penitentiary and/ or $20,000 fine.
Charges stem from an incident that involved a vehicle crash that resulted in the death of Steven Wheeler. Sentencing is scheduled for November 24th at 9:30 at the Gregory County Courthouse.
This case was investigated by Gregory County Sheriff’s Office and South Dakota Highway Patrol was prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
