Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit Makes Arrest
PIERRE, S.D - Attorney General Marty Jackley, United States Attorney Randy Seiler and Pierre Police Chief Dave Panzer announces that the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) and the U.S. Marshals Service conducted an undercover operation in the Pierre area October 16-18. The investigation resulted in one arrest:
Joseph Raymond Raleigh, 34, Miller, one count of attempted commercial sex trafficking, 10 years minimum/mandatory prison sentence.
“The joint law enforcement operations are protecting children. The continued decrease in the number of arrests further demonstrates the success the operations are at deterring human trafficking and the solicitation of young children. I want to thank our local, federal and state officers for their dedication and commitment to protecting our communities,” stated Jackley.
Raleigh is presumed innocent until such time as proven guilty.
The Attorney General’s Office would like to extend its appreciation to the Pierre Police Department for their efforts and continued cooperation.
