Rapid City Police Department Officer Involved Shooting Summary Released

 
PIERRE, S.D – Attorney General Marty Jackley and the Division of Criminal Investigation today released the summary into the shooting of Patrick Lundstrom on September 29, 2015, in Rapid City, South Dakota. The Division of Criminal Investigation conducted the investigation at the request of the Rapid City Police Department.

The incident occurred on September 29, 2015, following a domestic violence call from a residence in Rapid City. “It is my conclusion as Attorney General that Officer Matthew Macrander was justified in firing his weapon and using lethal force. I would like to thank the Rapid City Police Department and the Officer for their service and complete cooperation in this investigation and offer my condolences to the family of Patrick Lundstrom for their loss,” stated Attorney General Jackley.
