Attorney General Jackley Announces Formation of the National Attorneys General
Charities Committee
PIERRE – South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley as President of the National Association of Attorneys General announces the newly created National Attorneys General Charities Committee.
Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen and Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson have been tasked with the important responsibility of serving as Co-Chairs for this committee. Other committee members include: Attorneys General Edward Manibusan (Northern Mariana Islands), Sean Reyes (Utah), Derek Schmidt (Kansas) and Bill Sorrell (Vermont).
“In the season of giving, I am pleased to announce the creation of the Charities Committee designed to protect consumers and businesses. This newly formed committee of Attorneys General will address the many challenges facing citizens and businesses every day when solicited for charitable giving, The Attorneys General want to encourage charitable giving by working to ensure the public’s generosity makes it to the intended charity or recipient of goodwill and does not fall prey to a scam or theft,” said Jackley.
