Joint Narcotics Investigation Leads to Warrants Served In Yankton Area

PIERRE, S.D.-   Attorney General Jackley confirms a joint narcotics investigation in the Yankton area has led to search warrants in different locations earlier today.

 “This morning’s operation is a perfect example of the cooperation shared between local, state and federal law enforcement agencies here in South Dakota and our commitment to removing dangerous drugs off our streets and making our neighborhoods safer,” said Jackley.

Those involved in today’s operation, include the Yankton Police Department, Yankton County Sheriff’s Office, South Dakota Highway Patrol, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI). 

This investigation is ongoing and arrests are pending.
