Attorney General’s Office Releases Officer Involved Shooting Summary
PIERRE, S.D – Attorney General Marty Jackley and the Division of Criminal Investigation today released the summary into the shooting of Abraham Fryer on February 26, 2016, in Pennington County, South Dakota. The Division of Criminal Investigation conducted the investigation at the request of the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred on February 26, 2016, following a traffic stop at the location of Twilight Drive and Concourse Drive in Pennington County.
“It is my conclusion as Attorney General that Deputy Robert Schoeberl was justified in firing his weapon and using lethal force. I would like to thank the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office and the Deputy for their service and complete cooperation in this investigation and offer my condolences to the family of Abraham Fryer for their loss,” stated Attorney General Jackley.
