Government Openness Task Force to Meet 

(Pierre) – Attorney General-Elect Larry Long announced today that the first meeting of the Government Openness Task Force will be held in Pierre on Tuesday, December 10 at 1:00 p.m. in the Legislative Conference Room #1 at the State Capitol. The meeting is open to the public. 

The Government Openness Task Force is made up of 26 individuals from across the state representing media, law enforcement, local government, education, state government, private business and the public. 

Long said the task force will identify areas of concern in the South Dakota Open Records and Open Meeting Laws and will work to formulate a plan for addressing each concern.
