PIERRE, S.D.-   Attorney General Marty Jackley will conclude his 2015-2016 National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) presidential term this week at the NAAG Summer Meeting in Vermont, June 21-23, 2016.

“Our nation’s Attorneys General are strong leaders that protect our citizens and provide our States a voice heard loud and clear,” said Jackley. “It has been an honor to lead the State Attorneys General over the last year, and I am proud of our accomplishments driven by strong bipartisan cooperation and the ability to put aside political differences to best serve our citizens.”

Attorney General Jackley will deliver his final remarks to include highlights of his presidential initiative hosted in South Dakota “To Protect & Serve with 21st Century Policing”. During his time as president of NAAG, Jackley focused on the everyday challenges that face law enforcement nationwide, including officer-involved shootings, body-worn cameras policy, school shootings, campus sexual assaults and mental health issues and fighting our national meth and opioid epidemic.

Attorney General Jackley will transition into his role as Past President for the next year with his primary duties serving on the NAAG Executive Committee and NAAG Mission Foundation Board of Directors.  He will also serve as an ex-officio Board Member of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children representing NAAG.
