PIERRE, S.D – Attorney General Marty Jackley and the Division of Criminal Investigation today released the summary into the shooting of Dylan Huff on June 22, 2016, in Hot Springs, South Dakota. The Division of Criminal Investigation conducted the investigation at the request of the Hot Spring Police Department.

The incident occurred on June 22, 2016, after a call to service at a residence located at 346 N. 22nd Street in Hot Springs.

“It is my conclusion as Attorney General that Officer Kyle Maciejewski was justified in firing his weapon and using lethal force. I would like to thank the Hot Springs Police Department and the Officer for their service and complete cooperation in this investigation,” stated Attorney General Jackley.
