PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that Haley Westphal is the first statewide winner of the “NO.METH.EVER.” campaign contest.
“Haley has created a fresh and innovative message to educate the public and our youth about the dangers of Meth,” said Jackley. “In the upcoming months South Dakota will experience her powerful anti-meth message ‘this wasn’t supposed to be my life… Meth changed that for me’.”
The contest was held amongst college and technical school students during the 2016 fall semester with the focus on a public service announcement. The second phase of the contest, which runs during the spring semester, will concentrate on a full social media campaign and concludes on May 1, 2017.
Westphal is a student at the University of South Dakota, majoring in Media and Journalism with a minor in Sports Marketing.
