PIERRE, S.D. –  Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that State Penitentiary inmate Aaryn Anthony Arango, 28, pled guilty to assault by inmate, intentionally causing contact with bodily fluids or human waste, SDCL 22-18-26, a Class 6 felony, from an incident occurring last July in the Penitentiary.  

Arango was sentenced as well and received a 2 year penitentiary sentence to run consecutive to the offense he is currently serving.   

This case was investigated by Special Security at the Penitentiary and the Division of Criminal Investigation and prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
