PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley would like to remind South Dakotans that this week is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Each year this week is set aside to honor crime victims and our nation’s progress in advancing their rights.
“This year’s theme—Strength. Resilience. Justice. —reflects a vision for the future in which all victims are strengthened by the response they receive, organizations are resilient in response to challenges, and communities are able to seek collective justice and healing,” said Jackley. “South Dakota’s Automated Victim Information Notification System is just one of the many ways we are helping victims in our state.”
