PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that Jordan Lee Muntefering, 27, Mitchell, was sentencing to 10 years on one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute in a drug free zone, methamphetamine and 10 years with 5 suspended on one count of distribution of a controlled substance, methamphatamine. Both counts to run consecutively. Charges were a result of a probation search of a residence belonging to Muntefering.
“Probation is a time and opportunity for individuals that have made mistakes to demonstrate that they want and can be productive and law abiding citizens. It is not a get out of jail free card, and continued criminal violations and conduct while on probation will not be tolerated,” said Jackley.
This case was investigated by the Mitchell Police Department and prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
