PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today he has joined with a total of 24 state Attorney’s General in support of the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 and the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017.
“The Second Amendment gives law-abiding citizens the fundamental right to bear arms for the defense of themselves, their families and their homes. As Attorney General, I have a strong interest in protecting and defending our law-abiding citizen’s right to keep and bear arms,” stated Jackley. “This will grant South Dakotans as they travel to other states the same privileges that we grant our guests when they are here in South Dakota.”
These bills, if enacted, would eliminate significant obstacles to the exercise of the right to keep and bear arms for millions of Americans in every State.
There is no cost to the State of South Dakota to join this request. The full letter is attached.
