Yankton County Men Sentenced in Fentanyl Distribution Case

PIERRE, S.D. - Attorney General Marty Jackley confirms that two Yankton County men were sentenced today for distribution of fentanyl. Andrew Ray Coffman, 20, Yankton, pled guilty to one count distribution of a controlled substance, fentanyl, class 4 felony, and was sentenced to two years in the state penitentiary. Ty William Hauger, 22, Yankton, pled guilty to one count of distribution of a controlled substance, fentanyl, class 4 felony and was sentencing to four years in the state penitentiary. 

“These two individuals unlawfully possessed fentanyl pills disguised as oxycodone that were extremely dangerous. Law enforcement officers continue to be effective in removing this poison from our streets,” said Jackley. 

This case was investigated by the Yankton Police Department, the Yankton County Sheriff’s Office and the Division of Criminal Investigation and prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
