PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley confirmed today that the State of South Dakota has filed its final Reply Brief in State of South Dakota v. Wayfair, Overstock and Newegg.
“On April 17, 2018, I look forward to appearing before the United States Supreme Court so that I can provide a strong and long awaited voice for our main street businesses,” said Jackley. “I want to extend my appreciation for the support I have received from our State Legislators and the Governor who had the courage to bring this important issue to the forefront. In addition, I want to extend a thank you for the support we have received from the 44 Attorneys General and President Trump to bring tax fairness for our local retailers and to help support main street businesses.”
The oral argument is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. (EDT) on April 17, 2018. The argument order includes Attorney General Jackley-15 minutes, Solicitor General-10 minutes, Out-of-State Retailers -30 minutes and Attorney General Jackley will have final 5 minutes as rebuttal.
