Ongoing Investigation of Michelle Lufkins’ Death

PIERRE, S.D.-  The Division of Criminal Investigation said today that the investigation into the death of Michelle Lynn Lufkins, 38, Sisseton, is ongoing. Even though no arrests have been made, Law Enforcement is confident the public is safe and believes that this is an isolated incident. Law Enforcement agencies involved in the investigation are the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, the Robert’s County Sheriff’s Office, the Sisseton Police Department, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Tribal Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
