Autopsy Conducted in Roberts County Death Investigation
PIERRE, S.D.- South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley has indicated that the autopsy of Michelle Lufkins was conducted on December 3, 2009, in Sioux Falls, SD. Toxicology tests are pending and evidence was submitted to the SD DCI Forensics Lab in Pierre.
Law enforcement continues to follow all leads regarding Lufkins’ disappearance and death. Law enforcement has no evidence of any continuing threat to the community. Agencies involved in the investigation are the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, the Robert’s County Sheriff’s Office, the Sisseton Police Department, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Tribal Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
