PIERRE, S.D. - Attorney General Marty Jackley confirms today that Kenneth C. Hauge, Alexandria, was sentencing to 15 years in the state penitentiary with 5 suspended on the condition that he have no contact with the victim and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $31,743.82.
Charges stem from incidents where Hauge, who was his mother’s power-of-attorney, stole money from her while she was living in a nursing home. Hauge was convicted by a Hanson County jury in March for theft by exploitation.
Hauge is currently serving time in the state penitentiary on a parole revocation. This sentence will run consecutive to his current sentence.
